Steps
- Get the AED — Send someone to bring the nearest AED while CPR continues.
- Turn it on, apply pads — Open it, power on, and place the pads on bare skin as the pictures show — wipe the chest dry first and move the person off any water.
- Stand clear — Let it analyze. If it advises a shock, make sure no one is touching the person.
